BECAUSE MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE IN KEY AREAS ADDS VALUE

The commercial real estate industry’s association that focuses on property management, BOMA Fort Lauderdale / Palm Beaches (BOMA FTL/PB), hosted their annual gala last week at the Eau Palm Beach on November 4th, 2016.

Over 350 building owners, property managers and service providers were in attendance as the winners of the esteemed ‘The Outstanding Building of the Year’ (TOBY) awards were announced.

Preparing for the TOBY Awards is a rigorous process and the award is considered one of the most prestigious in the commercial real estate industry. During the competition, the key areas of building management that affect property values are evaluated from community involvement and site management to environmental policies and procedures. Winners qualify to compete with property teams from nine states in the BOMA Southern Region.

Awards were also given to individuals for outstanding contributions to BOMA Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches and their achievements in the property management industry.  Individual award recipients were:

The 2016 TOBY award’s main sponsor was GreenTeam Service Corp, a plumbing and electrical contractor serving South Florida.  GreenTeam has been named as one of fastest growing companies in Florida by the Business Journal.

The JAM Team is honored to be associated with many of the participants and winners. Jackie Awve will proudly work with several of the property management teams to prepare their entry for the Southern Region competition. Over the years, she has been involved with preparing entries for eight properties that have gone on to win TOBY Southern Region and one TOBY International award.

The BOMA FTL/PB TOBY event is organized by a volunteer committee, and over the years Jackie has taken a strong leadership role in organizing, promoting, and fundraising for the event.
