(December 24, 2021) On December 14th, Deerfield Beach-based Konover South LLC (Konover) announced the acquisition of the seven-acre property to be developed as The Shoppes of Westlake Landings.

The Shoppes at Westlake Landings will be located at the southwest corner of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road and Persimmon Boulevard in the City of Westlake, Florida. The Shoppes of Westlake Landings will be comprised of two multi-tenant shopping centers, one totaling 7,065 square feet and the other 9,450 square feet, as well as a pod of quick service restaurants totaling 6,765 square feet.

On December 17th, the company also announced the acquisition of the 30.2-acre property to be developed as Coconut Crossing. Situated at the corner of Northlake Boulevard and Coconut Boulevard, Coconut Crossing is located across from the main entrance of the upscale residential community of Avenir in Palm Beach Gardens.

Coconut Crossing will serve the community with up to 100,000 sf of commercial businesses, and is expected to include a grocer, daycare, restaurants, gas station, and other retail conveniences. Negotiations are underway with a national grocer, gas station, high end national coffee shop, national dental provider, a first-class daycare, as well as several other restaurants and service-oriented businesses.

Finally, Konover confirmed the sale of two properties from its portfolio in December –Vero Beach Square, a community shopping center located in Vero Beach’s major retail hub along State Road 60, and the Chase Bank branch building located at South Kendall Square.
