Popular South Florida Meeting Place Makes Big Changes

Last week, the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) announced that the Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit will move from its South Florida home to Springfield, Missouri.

Highly visible from I-95 in Dania Beach, IGFA has become a popular venue for monthly meetings, educational and networking events. The museum boasts a stunning visual setting which is a true representation of South Florida’s local lifestyle. Combined with reasonable rental rates, above-average service, and the neighboring Bass Pro Shops and Islamorada Fish Company, IGFA has been an ideal place to host business meetings.

While there are big changes coming soon, you can expect to see more functions at this location as Bass Pro Shops will lease the first floor as a new conservation and events center. Exhibits will be removed but the first floor of the building will still be available for events. Joanie Tomlin, the IGFA facilities rental coordinator told the South Florida Business Journal that events scheduled soon should be fine. Transition dates are slated to be announced in mid-April.

The International Game Fishing Association’s international headquarters and library will remain in the Dania Beach facility. The address is 300 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, FL 33004.
