A Night to Remember: BOMA Miami-Dade’s Spectacular TOBY Awards

On January 31st, BOMA Miami-Dade hosted its highly anticipated 2024 TOBY Awards at the elegant Loews Coral Gables, delivering an evening of grandeur, recognition, and celebration. The event honored the best in commercial real estate, highlighting excellence in building operations and property management.

A Stunning Debut Collaboration

For the first time, BOMA Miami-Dade partnered with Awve Marketing & Design, bringing in Jackie Awve as the creative force behind the event’s production. Under her expert direction, the Phantom of the Opera theme was brought to life in breathtaking detail, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience. From dramatic lighting and theatrical décor to a sophisticated ambiance that paid homage to the classic production, every element was meticulously curated to captivate attendees.

A Competitive Field and Record-Breaking Support

This year’s TOBY competition saw 15 outstanding entrants, each demonstrating an exceptional commitment to excellence in building operations, sustainability, and tenant relations. As these properties competed for the chance to advance to the next level, the event also made history with record-breaking sponsorship participation. First Onsite led as the Signature Sponsor. With over 35 sponsors contributing to the success of the evening, the overwhelming industry support underscored the significance of the TOBY Awards in Miami-Dade’s commercial real estate sector.

The Road to the International TOBY Awards

As a prestigious competition, the TOBY Awards program progresses through three levels—local, regional, and international. The winners from BOMA Miami-Dade will now move on to compete at the BOMA Southern Region Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 11-14, 2024. Victors at the regional level will then advance to the internationally recognized BOMA TOBY Awards, where the best of the best will be honored on a global stage. Jackie has been providing guidance to the association and entrants on how to navigate the competition process.

Celebrating Excellence in Commercial Real Estate

Beyond the competition, the evening was a celebration of the professionals and companies that set the bar for operational excellence in commercial real estate. The event was a testament to the dedication, innovation, and passion that define Miami-Dade’s thriving real estate landscape. With a dazzling debut collaboration, an inspiring showcase of industry talent, and an unforgettable evening of celebration, the 2024 BOMA Miami-Dade TOBY Awards set a new standard for excellence.

Congratulations to all the entrants, winners, sponsors and committee members who made the night a resounding success!
