I’m constantly trying to learn more. It’s in my nature. It fulfills my craving for personal growth. It inspires me. So much so that for my last milestone birthday, my cousin had t-shirts made for everyone with a quote by Margaret Fuller that said, “Very early, I knew that the only object in life was to grow.”
It was in one of these quests for knowledge that I discovered Mark Schaefer. I’m sure it was in one of those blogs titled something like “Five People Every Marketer Should Follow.”
Mark is the chief blogger for {grow} (I have to point of the irony of the blog name here!), executive director of Schaefer Marketing Solutions, and author of several best-selling digital marketing books. He also hosts a top business podcast called The Marketing Companion.
Why am telling you this? Because when it comes to marketing, he just makes sense! I’ve yet to read his book (I placed an order on Amazon today) but want to share some of my favorite tell-it-like-it-is blog posts. No hype. No bandwagons. Just common sense answers to some of the same questions that I answer almost every day.
Before I share my favorites, I want to say that I am very sensitive about not sitting in an echo chamber of ideas. Mark provides reasons and strategies for his thoughts.
Obviously, I’m not Mark, but I happen to agree with his thoughts and reasoning. If you have any questions on these topics and why I agree, feel free to reach out to me.
