A Branding Consultant’s Notes:

Twelve Years of Awve Marketing: What I’ve Learned From Building My Own Brand

Twelve years ago, I took a leap and built something of my own—Awve Marketing. At the time, it felt like I was simply stepping into a new chapter of my career. What I didn’t realize was that I was stepping into a journey of transformation. For me, branding has never been about trends or aesthetics alone—it’s about clarity, culture, and connection. And over these past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping others define and express that for their businesses—often in industries where marketing is more about muscle than message.

Awve Marketing was my test lab, my teacher, and my platform. I refined my voice, expanded my skills, and most importantly, grew into a clearer version of who I am—not just as a consultant, but as a leader, collaborator, and business owner.

Here are a few truths I’ve come to believe—lessons that have shaped both my brand and myself:

Have a question or need marketing help? Just complete and submit the form below.

Don’t wait to begin. Starting before you’re “ready” is where the good stuff begins. The momentum, the clarity, the courage—they show up after the first step, not before.

Brands evolve—and they should. I’ve repositioned, rebranded, and reframed my message more times than I can count. Each version brought me closer to the truth.

Try new things, especially the uncomfortable ones. Whether it was shifting from messaging to strategy, from social to storytelling—innovation came from experimentation.

Stay open to learning. I’ve worked across industries—from luxury real estate to janitorial services—and every single one taught me something new about value, voice, and vision.

Be humble. Even with experience, there’s always more to learn. The best marketing ideas often come from listening rather than leading.

Give yourself grace (and lighten up a little). Entrepreneurship isn’t linear. There were seasons of hustle and seasons of pause. Both were necessary. It gets intense, humor is a necessity!

Take it a day at a time. Building something meaningful doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one conversation, one deliverable, one moment of clarity at a time.

If you know me, you know I’ve always cared more about what a brand means than how it looks. I’ve been lucky to work with people who trusted me to uncover that meaning—and to communicate it in a way that resonates.

To my clients, collaborators, and cheerleaders: Thank you for letting me be part of your growth while you unknowingly helped shape mine. Awve Marketing may be closing a chapter, but what I’ve learned—and what I still hope to create—is far from over.

Here’s to what’s next.
